Maker's Mark Ambassador Program

A few years ago, I received probably one of the best FREE gifts ever – a membership in the Maker’s Mark Ambassador Program. Oftentimes in life, “you get what you pay for”. This program is an exception to that motto.

What’s in it for you?

You’ll get insider news and invitations to events. For example, a couple years back, we received advance ticket purchases for the Maker’s 46 Mile races at Keeneland Racetrack that April. In addition, we had an opportunity to reserve elegant dining options for a day of racing.

Each new Ambassador is assigned a barrel of Maker’s Mark. Your name is engraved on a placard and attached to a newly filled barrel. You can log-in to the Ambassador site and check on the status of your designated barrel.

As your barrel hits that coveted 5-8 years, you’ll start receiving more frequent updates with where your barrel is in its maturation process.

When your barrel is ready, you’re encouraged to make a free visit to the Maker’s Mark Distillery in Loretto, KY. While you won’t be able to select a bottle from your exact barrel, you can hopefully snag one from the batch your barrel was in and hand-dip it yourself. You’ll also receive commemorative placards and an Ambassador medal at the Welcome Desk.

What do you get?

Over the past few years, I’ve received some very cool gifts, too. I received special holiday labels and pretty plaid bows for decorating my bottles at Christmas, as well as a mint julep pin. 2018 brought one of the most interesting gifts and a flurry of internet activity in various social media posts. Last year, Makers Mark Ambassadors received navy blue socks, complete with the iconic wax-dipped Maker’s Mark bourbon bottles.

What’s the catch?

Share the good word about Maker’s Mark bourbon – on social media, with friends and family. According to my official Ambassador documents,

I, as a Maker’s Mark Ambassador, do pledge to introduce those who have not yet had the pleasure (poor souls) to the smooth taste of Maker’s Mark Bourbon. To help friends understand, appreciate and savor what handmade bourbon is all about. And to lead by my own example, that every occasion for enjoying bourbon is the perfect occasion for enjoying Maker’s Mark.

In return, you’ll get a ton of cool benefits.

What are you waiting for? It’s FREE, right? Take advantage of this wonderful program from our friends at Maker’s Mark.
